ABOUT OUR PROJECT

Our team consists of 5 members and we contribute to a team called, "MTC Rain." Our name stands for Made To Catch Rain, which is exactly what our group strives to complete. We are currently in a prototype phase to attach items to a tree to be able to catch rainwater. We plan to use this water to make it drinkable and if we're able to make this happen, then we'll be able to send this prototype out to the public. We have done many things to expand people's knowledge about what we're trying to do, such as teaching younger kids. We have competed in competitions to also further people's knowledge.

MTC Rain will continue to achieve what we hope for is a better way to use rainwater. We plan to add our prototype to trees around our neighborhood with containers with filters to make the rain drinkable. Our team wants to do this to help people around the world where it barely rains, and when it does rain, they can use the water that flowed down the trees to drink.

Facts About Us

Competitions

So far, we've competed in 2 competitions which were Lexus Eco Challenge and Ecyber Misson. We've done this to teach people what our project is really about and the efforts we've put into our project.

Sierra Club Outreach

We've presented to a group called the Sierra Club to show them our project and plans for the future.

2017-2018

Plans for the future

We plan to continue reaching out to the community to teach them more about our project and how to help. We also plan to add a filter to our prototype and bring it out to the public to test it out.
